A plug gauge is a precision measuring instrument used to check the dimensions and tolerances of holes. Different types of plug gauges are available, each serving specific measurement needs.
The Go/NoGo gauge is a crucial type among them. The Go end of the gauge is designed to enter a hole easily if the hole is within the specified tolerance limit for the minimum acceptable size. It ensures that the hole is not too small and has been machined to at least the minimum required dimension. On the other hand, the NoGo end of the gauge should not be able to enter the hole if the hole is within the proper tolerance range. If the NoGo end does enter, it indicates that the hole is oversized and does not meet the required dimensional accuracy.
