The role of mechanical devices
Position indication and positioning
In machine tool equipment, the calibration ring is an important tool to determine the position of the tool or workpiece. For example, calibration rings installed on the transverse and longitudinal feed mechanisms of the lathe allow the operator to precisely control the position of the tool in relation to the workpiece, resulting in high-precision parts machining. According to the size requirements on the processing drawings, the operator can accurately move the tool to the specified position by reading the value of the scale ring to ensure the accuracy of the processing size.
For rotating machinery, such as motors, reducers, etc., the scale ring can be installed at the end of the shaft to indicate the rotation Angle or position of the shaft. This is very useful in the installation, commissioning, and subsequent maintenance of the equipment. For example, when the motor is reinstalled after maintenance, the calibration ring can be used to ensure that the motor shaft is in the correct relative position to the shaft of the driven device to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Speed and flow control indication
In some mechanical devices with flow regulation functions, such as flow control valves in hydraulic systems, nozzle regulation devices in fuel injection systems, etc., the scale ring can be used to visually display the degree of flow or velocity regulation. The operator can adjust the flow size through the scale ring according to the work needs, and can clearly see the current flow setting value, convenient for accurate flow control.
In the speed regulating device, such as the scale ring around the speed regulating knob of the mechanical governor and some industrial fans, it is used to indicate the gear or the specific speed value of the speed adjustment. This helps users to quickly and accurately adjust the operating speed of the equipment according to actual needs.
